ORT (Organisation for Rehabilitation through Training), founded in 1880, is a global education network driven by Jewish values. Its archive is located in London and holds around 100 linear metres of material. It is made up of governance, operational and fundraising activity records, including minutes, reports, correspondence, financial documents and marketing material. The photographic collection comprises over 4,000 prints, glass plates and slides, and is a unique visual record of pre–Second World War Jewish communities in Central and Eastern Europe. The institution also holds an extensive film collection comprising reels from the 1950s to the 1970s. In the Yerusha project, World ORT Archive surveyed some of its textual, photographic and film collections.
