Founded in 1977, the Jewish Museum of Greece collects, preserves and exhibits documents and artefacts pertaining to the history, tradition and culture of the Greek Jewish community. The Museum fosters cross-cultural understanding and promotes public dialogue between people of diverse religious and cultural backgrounds. The Museum’s Yerusha descriptions focus on 19th and 20th century archival holdings in the regions of Central Greece, Peloponnese, Dodecanese and Crete.
